Munter Hitch

Notes and Resources:

The munter hitch is applied differently in rope bondage than in its common application (climbing). It is used both as a support line friction (in which it serves a similar purpose, but is tied differently), and as a crossing knot.

For people like me that need a system and names for everything: This site (after some scrolling down) offers a nice overview of the different bondage-specific munter hitch variants https://ropestudy.com/courses/101/lessons/working-with-rope/topic/some-common-knots-frictions/
