Basic Inversion [Level 4]

There are 35 techniques you should learn before this one. Click here to add this tie as a goal and see them in order.

Notes and Resources:

Don't invert using natural jute support lines!

  • Inversion is most dangerous position
  • Attach chest first, keep attached whenever possible
    • Don't fall over backwards during setup
  • Entry via transition better than hauling up, generally
    • Chest/head safe while adjusting hips
    • Head clears ground while adjusting chest
    • Rope break less critical (but use synthetic!)
  • Lowering easier than re-inverting, but careful of head
    • Leaving chest attached is safest
    • If lowering without chest, be very careful of neck, tuck chin
