Make sure to heed the warning about what happens if you need to lower all the way to the floor using the carabiner method; you might want to practice doing that (with a mat!) so you are prepared to manage it in an emergency.

You can also use either method to create a hanger between more than two points, by just pulling more bights and lining them all up.

      Regarding the single point without carabiner use case: If an appropriate loop for attachment already exists, such as an 8mm hemp simple chest harness started with a sommerville bowline at sternum, is it equally safe to use an 8mm support line via simple lark's head through that loop?

      (My aim being to reduce wear on lines while avoiding the carabiner look)
